"Around the Bend", the movie:
Four generations of men are suddenly brought together by the chance to uncover the truth about their family’s past. The film is written and directed by Jordan Roberts and stars Michael Caine, Christopher Walken, Josh Lucas, Jonah Bobo and Glenne Headly.

This bus was restored in 2003. Hollywood magic made it look old and battered for the movie. The movie magic will clean off. The duct tape on new seats can be peeled off. It has been driven approximately 600 miles since 2003. It just recently cruised 300 miles non-stop across Pennsylvania comfortably at 65mph -- probably could've gone faster but the other drivers were slowing us down trying to stare and honking at the bus! The dash board is signed by Christopher Walken, Josh Lucas, The director, producer and crew.


PARTS REPAIRED OR REPLACED WITH QUALITY OEM GERMAN PARTS:
Rebuilt 1600 dp with approximately 5,000 miles.
New windshields w/seals.
New front seat upholstery and cushions.
New wood interior panels on doors, kick panels and ceiling.
Refurbished Westfalia camper cabinets, fold out bed.
New tail light housings and lens.
New shift rod bushings & components.
New engine & transmission mounts.
New tires.
Re-packed wheel bearings.
New brakes including new drums, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brake light switch, rubber flex lines, rubber pedal pads.
KYB gas adjust shock absorbers.
New transmission boots.
New clutch components including return spring, cable, throw out bearing, new clutch fork, disc, pressure plate, gland nut, input shaft seal, rebuilt heater boxes and cables.
Rebuilt 12 volt fly wheel, fan belt, fan pulley, air hoses, rebuilt OEM style air cleaner & rubber hose
New starter & bushing.
New headlight bulbs and light lens, rebuilt headlight buckets.
1 key fits all door locks and ignition switch.

No rust on this bus -- this bus only came to the eastcoast in Nov. 2007 from Cali, so it is one of the rare eastcoast vw buses that are actually rust free! "Dig" is owned by a private party in Western Pennsylvania.
