Stunning 1976 Westfalia - 66,700 miles (Massachusetts)

Westy side tent
f. Original side tent bag
g. Original bug screens
h. Original interior curtains
i. All manuals, including the super rare Westfalia Owner’s Manual
j. Original carpet has always been kept covered and is in new condition.

After I purchased the van, I had it completely serviced by a VW garage with 40 years of experience. This service included:

1. New plugs, plug wires, points and condensor
2. New foam engine seal
3. New Bosch fuel pump
4. New Bosch master cylinder
5. New pushrod “O-ring” seals
6. New transmission drain and filter
7. New batteries

Every 3,000 miles I have adjusted the engine valves, changed the oil, filter and conducted an all lube-points grease job. The camper runs like new and is 100% reliable. When we purchased the vehicle from the original owner, it had only 56, 800 miles on the odometer. In the 4 years that we have owned it, my wife and I have taken it to numerous vintage VW shows and used it extensively to camp on Cape Cod and in York, Maine. Wherever we take the vehicle, it attracts an immense amount of attention and people are amazed to learn that the Westy is completely original and has not been restored.

I am a “car guy” with 35 years experience in the hobby. My collection ranges from Volkswagens and Corvairs to a 1930 Model A Ford. I am downsizing my collection due to health issues and changing interests. The ‘76 Westy was the most recent addition to my collection, so it is the first to go. Currently registered, clear title.

The asking price is $18,500. Contact Ron at Uhlan1916@aol.com for questions or appointments to see the camper. Pictures available upon request.
