Advice for First Timer

Hello - I've had a life long ambition to restore a bug. I have some mechanical abilities but have never taken on a project of this scope. I'm asking for advise as to which bug to select (Year/Engine), based on factors such as - parts availability, cost, ease of work, etc. Any advise would be greatly appreciated - thanks!
