Postby midengine » Fri Aug 25, 2006 12:37 am

after rewireing the engine bay on our 85.5 euro 944 we go it goin again.
but after the first drive we checked the oil and it was milky! the head is fine. we determined it was a bad oil cooler. got the rebuild kit but still need the cooler its self.

But my second ride ever was great! i still miss my Ghia vert more then ever though.

Bummer. That's why you gotta stick with air cooled stuff. no water pump to go bad--just eVerY thing else!

I might be getting a 1970 Ghia convert to restore. I'll let you know if it goes through. Speaking of going through, it needs floors for sure, but I can take care of that!

yeah my dads taken that project over full time. he has it back together already. im sticking to my 911. it would be nice to have another aircooled vw around though, i sure miss driving the Ghia, and you grow to miss the aircooled smell. im sure you know what i mean. just dont get too much going on. i want to see you get that 356 finished. the 356 coupe is my all time favorite car. i cant wait to see yours done. I will have one for myself someday. but the 911 will hold me over. any new pictures?
