considering a 71 911 t targa. whats it worth

Postby midengine » Mon Oct 16, 2006 6:36 pm

There is a running 71 911T targa project car available locally, I was offered the car in trade for one of my existing cars. but before i give an answer id like to get a few ball park guestI'mates at the cash value of this car. I know i know.. no pictures, not information.. how can i expect a estI'mate of the car. well just do the best you can with what i give you.

its a silver 71 911T

targa top has a tear on driver side and will need replaced.
the interior is black vinyl and appears to be fair daily driver ish.

the wheels are some odd looking 15-16" wheel that I'm told is a Fuchs wheel. but looks nothing like the 16"s on my 944 and nothing like the 2.0's on 914's

the engine is supposed to run well and there is a receipt for $3,500 for the weber carbs that were recently installed. sounded high, I'm guessing that was for labor too?

the tires are dry and the brake may need redone.

the body is in good shape with no exterior rust or major dings. but paint is faded bad.

the title is clean.

so from what you hear what kind of range are we in for a cash purchasing value/general worth?
will work for rear and midengine cars!

Porsche value

Postby johnsnellx » Tue Oct 17, 2006 12:14 pm

Hmmm....I would guess the value to be between $4500 and $7000. Pretty broad range, but without photo or hearing how nice the paint is, that's where I would put it.

I'm here to put up some new pictures of my 356 restoration!
