vin location

i am new to the vw world. i have a dune buggy with an air cooled motor and it is seized up. i would like to buy parts but do not know what size and vintage the motor is. So what i am asking is where is the vin number on the engine block. I looked by the generator where i was told it was located and the only thing stamped in there is the firing order. I also located some numbers on both sides of the block just under the heads. the numbers are 2rr11000101014 does not seem like it is a vin. Also above these numbers it says Brazil thanks for any info
