i had a34 pict 3 that acted just like yours i still cannot get it working.there is a temp fix for that.it is not the perfect cure but it will make it drivable.a vw shop told me to loosen a jet at the top right of the carb a small amount .i am not sure what it is called but it is brass and it takes a 8 mm wrench.if you loosen it about 1 fourth turn it will probably idle. the problem with this is that the screw is meant to be bottomed out so it will be loose .so what you have to do is take it out and mark the threads a little bit like with a pair of pliers or even a small punch mark this will make it stay where you set it so it won`t fall out .hope this helps .please let me know if you find the correct remedy for this.my friend and i each have one that act the same way .
