Seen a thing for my first time this week!

I finally seen one in person! it pulled into our local caseys gas station an old woman was driving it with her two grandchildren. i walked inside after she left and the whole place was talking about it!

They sure aren't very common. They only brought 'em in to the states in '73 and '74. I've owned a '74 since 1991 (when I was in High school!)

Lucky to have an uncle who restores old VWs (and owns a Thing) so I knew what one was. It was in a neighbor's garage near my parent's place and I was dog and house sitting (and car buying as it turned out!)
